Physical
Exams: Students must have a
new
sports physicals every 13 months.
Parent
Permission/Proof of Insurance/Athletic Registration form:
Student must have parent or
guardian's permission, proof of insurance, and have signed the athletic
registration form in order to participate in athletics
at NKHS.
Enrollment:
Student must be enrolled in a minimum of three classes out of a six period
day, and have all fines paid to participate in athletics at
NKHS.
WIAA Academic
Status (Rule 18.6.0): In
order to maintain athletic eligibility during the current
semester/trimester, the student shall maintain passing grades, in a
minimum of
3 classes in a 4 period class schedule
3 classes in a 5 period class schedule
4 classes in a 6 period class schedule
Running Start
Courses
2 5 credit quarter courses
2 3 credit semester courses
(18.7.0)--
The student shall have in regular attendance as a full time student as
defined above during the semester immediately preceding the semester in
which the contest is held.
(18.7.2)-- A
student who fails to complete the previous semester shall be ineligible
for athletic competition.
NKSD
In-Season Academic Eligibility:
All students must be passing
ALL courses while
participating in interscholastic athletics during that season.
Eligibility checks will occur bi-monthly to monitor the progress of the
student-athletes.
